Secrets of Article Writing - Build a Relationship to Generate Income - Part II

So can you see why it is important for you to create an e-mail relationship with this surfer? Now, let's call this surfer Jack. Jack is now at ease. He doesn't have to make a rushed decision, and he knows that he will be fed valuable information from your e-mails. Now, as far as I'm concerned, it is more important for you, the website owner, to establish a long-term relationship with Jack than it is for you to sell Jack his first product. By offering to supply him free information upfront, he can evaluate the range of products online without the pressure to make an immediate purchase, and down the line if Jack decides to purchase his camera from your website, because he has developed loyalty with you, you will be in a very strong position to offer him other products and information down the line.

This is precisely the way I run my website business, and this is exactly what I will teach you to do. I will not try to sell anyone the first time that they visit my website. I just offer some free information via a free e-book, and this e-book will contain information about the particular product or services that they are interested in. When they land on my squeeze page, they will give me their details, i.e. e-mail address and name. I can then send them the free information as well as a courteous e-mail message. I tell them that I am here for them and it is my goal to help them meet their needs, and in trying to achieve this goal, I will communicate with them on a regular basis, sending them additional free information and links to products they just might be interested in purchasing, and these products are related to their initial search.

Now, this method of list building or creating a relationship with my list is extremely powerful. It works for me, and it has worked for many other website owners online today. If you can develop a relationship with people who have some interest in your product or services, rather than stuffing your sales page down their throat when they first land on your web page, you will find that your website will generate some five or ten times more income than if you try to build a business without list building. I think in time to come, building a relationship with potential customers or clients will become paramount for your success. I think it is getting harder and harder to run your online business using the direct response internet sales method. For me, the future of internet sales is in list building and relationship building, and I can show you exactly what to do in order to build a relationship with your potential clients and transform that relationship into profitable, long-term and maybe lifelong customers.
